A soft, low return that dips at the server's feet as they come in, making them volley up so your pair can attack.

When the server follows the serve in quickly. On slow or low serves you can play from in front.
Come giocarlo
Step in and take the ball early with a short swing. Soft hands, aim to drop it at the server's feet around the service line. Come forward if they have to dig it up.
Errori comuni
Floating it high, which gives the net player a volley. Trying it on a deep serve off the glass.

Legal under Rule 8.1: you must let the serve bounce in your box and play it before it bounces a second time. The return is good when it lands in the opponents' court, directly or off your own walls (Rule 14.1b).
