Rule 13: losing a point
The full list of ways to lose a point: touching the net or the other court, a second bounce, hitting the opponents' walls or fence before the bounce, hitting your own mesh or floor, double hits, being hit by the ball, two faults and more.
Clausola 1: Touching the net
You lose the point if you, your racket, or anything you wear or carry touches the net while the ball is in play.
Clausola 2: Touching the posts or cable
You lose the point if you, your racket, or anything you wear or carry touches the net posts or the tension cable while the ball is in play.
Clausola 3: Touching their court
You lose the point if you, your racket, or anything you wear or carry touches any part of the opponents' court while the ball is in play.
Clausola 4: Exception: the door post
Where play outside the court is allowed, the vertical post that divides the door openings is a neutral zone above 0.92 metres. Any of the four players may touch it or hold on to it there.
Clausola 5: A second bounce
You lose the point if the ball bounces a second time before you return it.
Clausola 6: Leaving with no outside play
Where play outside the court is not allowed, you lose the point if the ball, after bouncing in your half, goes over the outer edge of the court, at the side or the end, or out through the door.
Clausola 7: Over the end wall
Where play outside the court is allowed, you lose the point if the ball bounces correctly in your half and then leaves the court over the end wall. You cannot chase a ball over the back wall.
Clausola 8: Over the side wall or door
Where play outside the court is allowed and the ball leaves over the side wall or through the door, you lose the point when it bounces a second time or touches anything not part of the court. Until then, you may go out and play it.
Clausola 9: Hitting before it crosses
You lose the point if you hit the ball before it has come over the net to your side.
Clausola 10: Into their walls before the bounce
You lose the point if your shot, hit directly or played off your own walls, hits the opponents' walls or the metal fence before it bounces on their ground.
Clausola 11: Into an object before the bounce
You lose the point if your shot, hit directly or played off your own walls, hits any object not part of the court before it bounces on the opponents' ground. A ball that hits an object lying on their floor, such as a spare ball, is a different case: see Rule 14.
Clausola 12: Off the net into their walls
You lose the point if your shot touches the net or a net post and then goes straight onto one of the opponents' walls, the fence or any object not part of the court, without bouncing on their ground.
Clausola 13: Hitting it twice
You lose the point if you hit the ball twice.
Clausola 14: Ball touches your pair
You lose the point if, after you hit it, the ball touches you, your partner or anything either of you is wearing.
Clausola 15: Hit by their shot
You lose the point if a shot from the other pair hits any part of you or your equipment other than your racket.
Clausola 16: Into your own mesh
You lose the point if your shot touches the metal fence on your own side. Your own glass is different: you may play the ball off your own wall, as Rule 14 allows.
Clausola 17: Into your own ground
You lose the point if your shot touches any part of the ground on your own side.
Clausola 18: Into an object on your side
You lose the point if your shot touches any object not part of the court that is lying on the ground on your side.
Clausola 19: Hitting with a thrown racket
You lose the point if you hit the ball with a racket you have thrown at it.
Clausola 20: Jumping over the net
A pair loses the point if either player jumps over the net while the point is being played.
Clausola 21: Both partners hit it
A pair loses the point if both players hit the ball, at the same time or one after the other. Only one member of the pair may play the ball.
Clausola 22: Clashing rackets are fine
It is not a double hit when both partners go for the ball at the same moment, one of them hits it and the other only hits their partner's racket.
Clausola 23: Hitting from outside
You lose the point if, when you hit the ball, one or both of your feet or any part of your body is outside your court, unless play outside the court is allowed.
Clausola 24: Two faults in a row
The server loses the point after serving two faults in a row.
Clausola 25: Broken safety cord
If a player breaks their safety cord during the point, their pair loses the point straight away.
Clausola 26: Dropping your racket
If a player drops their racket during the point, their pair loses the point straight away.

Domande
What happens if my racket touches the net in padel?
You lose the point if your racket, body or anything you wear touches the net, posts or cable while the ball is in play.
Is it a double hit if my partner and I clash rackets?
No, as long as only one of you actually hit the ball and the other only hit their partner's racket.
Can I hit the ball into my own mesh to get it back?
No. A shot that touches your own metal fence loses the point. Only your own glass can be used to send the ball back.
