Defensive wall reset
A safe ball after the glass whose only job is to win you time to get back into position, usually a high lob or a slow, deep ball through the middle.
When to play it
When you have been pushed into the corner or onto the glass and your partner is out of position. At big points, when keeping the rally going matters more than attacking.
How to play it
Let the ball come off the glass and drop, as for any wall exit. Pick the biggest target: high and deep, or slow through the middle. Use the time the ball is in the air to get back beside your partner.
Common mistakes
Trying to attack from a bad position. A reset so short that the net players can finish it.
