Off the back glass: forehand
Let the ball go past you, read the rebound off the back glass, then play it back over the net. The skill that makes padel different from tennis.
When to play it
On any deep ball you cannot play comfortably before it reaches the glass. When a lob has gone over you and the glass gives you time. Whenever rushing would mean a weak shot.
How to play it
Turn side on to the glass early, as if walking alongside the ball. Let it rebound, move with it and wait for it to drop. Hit it on its way down, low over the net or as a lob.
Common mistakes
Backing into the glass and getting stuck. Hitting the ball as it comes off the wall, before it drops. Facing the glass instead of turning side on.

Questions
Is the salida de pared legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 12.3: once the ball has bounced on your side it stays in play off your glass and mesh until its second bounce (Rule 13c). Your shot must then go over the net without touching your own mesh or floor (Rule 13l).
