Round robin
Every pair in a group plays every other pair once, and a table of results decides the order. The LTA lists it as a draw format for some graded padel tournaments.
Hvad der ændrer sig i forhold til en standardkamp
Losing a match does not put you out. A table, not a single final, decides the order. The match scoring can be shortened by the event, for example to short sets to 4 games with a tie-break at 4 all.
Reglerne
Each pair plays every other pair in its group once. Every match uses the announced scoring and the FIP rules of play. Results earn table points as announced. With an even number of pairs, every pair plays in each round. With an odd number, one pair rests each round. The table ranks pairs by table points, then by the announced tie-breaks. Walkovers and withdrawals are handled by the event rules. In BUCS, a walkover counts as a 2 to 0 win for the side that turned up. The top pair wins the group, or the top places go on to a knockout.
Sådan afvikler du det
Split pairs into groups of similar size. Make the fixture list. A simple method: fix one pair and rotate the others round it each round. Schedule the matches on your courts, with rests for an odd number of pairs. Brief players on scoring, table points and tie-breaks. Enter results as they finish and publish the table.
