Team Americano
You enter as a pair and stay together all event; only the opponents change. Matches are scored in rally points as in an Americano, and the pair's total decides the standings.
標準の試合から変わる点
Rally-point scoring replaces games and sets. Standings are kept by pair, not by player, unlike an ordinary Americano. Matches are short and there are no set breaks unless the organiser adds them.
ルール
Pairs are fixed for the whole event. Partners never change. Every rally scores one point for the pair that wins it. A match ends when the two scores add up to the agreed total, or when time is called. Each pair adds its match score to its own running total. Each round, pairs meet an opponent they have not played yet, until everyone has met or the time runs out. If the number of pairs does not fill the courts, the extra pairs sit out in turn. The pair with the most points at the end wins. Ties are split by the order the organiser announced, often point difference and then wins.
運営方法
Take entries as pairs and count the courts you need: one per two pairs. Choose the points target or time, and announce the tie-break order. Draw up the schedule like a round robin, so each pair meets each other pair once if time allows. If there is an odd number of pairs, plan the rests so no pair rests twice before every pair has rested once. Collect scores after each round and post the table.

質問
What is a Team Americano?
An Americano where partners stay together and only the opponents rotate. Pairs, not players, are ranked.
How is Team Americano different from a round robin?
The structure is similar, but matches are short rally-point races and the table is built on points scored, not on wins alone.
