Six-game sets
The standard set in the FIP rules: the first pair to six games with a lead of two wins it, five-all goes on to seven-five, and at six-all a tie-break to seven points decides the set seven-six. Matches are the best of three sets.
標準の試合から変わる点
None: this is the standard set in the FIP rules. Organisers may shorten it with sets to four games, a match tie-break or a super tie-break in place of the third set.
ルール
A set starts at love-all in games. The first pair to six games with a lead of at least two wins the set: 6 to 0 up to 6 to 4. At five-all, play continues: 7 to 5 wins the set. At six-all, a tie-break decides the set. The tie-break is won by the first pair to seven points with a lead of two; it carries on as long as needed, so 9 to 7 or 12 to 10 are possible. The set is recorded as 7 to 6. The next set is started by the pair who did not begin serving in the tie-break. The match is the best of three sets. If agreed before the match, the third set can be played with no tie-break, so it goes on until one pair leads by two games.
運営方法
Announce the format, including what happens at one set all. Track the serving order in the tie-break carefully: one point, then two each. Allow 120 seconds between sets and keep play continuous after the first game of each set. Record set scores with the tie-break points in brackets if your results system allows it, for example 7 to 6 (7 to 4).
