Volley basics
A short, punched shot before the ball bounces, played from the net. Control and depth win padel volleys, not power.
使いどころ
At the net, on any ball you can reach before it bounces. Deep to the corners to keep the other pair pinned at the back. At the feet of a player who has come forward.
打ち方
Continental grip, racket head up and in front of you. Small step towards the ball, short punch, little or no backswing. Split step every time the other pair hit the ball.
よくあるミス
Swinging like a tennis groundstroke and sending the ball into the glass. Standing flat footed on the service line. Trying to win the point from a low ball instead of playing it deep.

Legal under Rule 14.1a once the ball has crossed the net. You lose the point if you play it on your opponents' side before it crosses (Rule 13.1f) or touch the net or posts with your body or racket (Rule 13.1a).
