Cross-court
A ball hit diagonally across the court. It crosses the lowest part of the net and has the longest court to land in, so it is the safe choice.
使いどころ
As your default from the back of the court. To keep a rally going while you wait for a short ball.
打ち方
Open your shoulders slightly to the diagonal. Aim low over the middle of the net. Use the side glass on their side as a target after the bounce.
よくあるミス
Going too wide, so the ball lands out or hits their side glass first. Hitting cross-court so predictably that the net player waits for it.

Legal like any rally ball under Rule 14.1b. If it hits their side glass or fence before it bounces, you lose the point (Rule 13.1g); after the bounce it may run into the walls (Rule 14.1c).
