Defending against a pair at the net
When the other pair holds the net, mainstream advice is to keep the ball low at their feet or lob it deep over them, and to avoid hitting hard at their rackets.
Passaggio 1
They are at the net, you are at the back. A hard, flat ball would sit up for them, so you look for another option.
Passaggio 2
You play a soft, low ball that dips at their feet.
Passaggio 3
Their volley comes back higher and softer, and you can lob it deep or move forward.
