Rule 10: replaying a point
A point is replayed when the ball splits, something not part of the game comes onto the court, or play is stopped by something unexpected that has nothing to do with the players. You must ask for the let straight away.
Clausola 1: The ball splits
The point is replayed if the ball splits during play.
Clausola 2: Something enters the court
The point is replayed if anything that is not part of the game comes onto the court. A ball from the next court rolling across yours is the classic example.
Clausola 3: Any unexpected interruption
In general, the point is replayed after any interruption to the match caused by something unexpected that has nothing to do with the players.
Clausola 4: Ball hits a loose object
If the ball in play hits an object lying on the ground in the opposing half, such as another ball, and that object moves in a way that could interfere with play or put the players in danger, the point is replayed. If the object does not move like that, the shot simply counts as a good return under Rule 14.
Clausola 5: Ask for it straight away
A player who thinks a let situation has arisen must tell the umpire immediately.
Clausola 6: Playing on loses the let
If play carries on, the player loses the right to the let. You cannot play on to see how the rally goes and then ask for a let.
Clausola 7: The umpire decides
Once a let has been asked for, the umpire decides whether it is justified. In a friendly match without an umpire, the players have to agree between themselves.
Clausola 8: A refused let costs the point
If the umpire decides the let is not justified, the player who asked for it loses the point.

Domande
A ball from the next court rolled onto ours. Do we replay the point?
Yes. Anything that is not part of the game coming onto the court means the point is replayed, as long as you stop and ask for it straight away.
Can I ask for a let after the rally has finished?
No. You must call it at once. If play carries on, you lose the right to the let.
What if I ask for a let and I am wrong?
If the umpire decides it was not a let, you lose the point.
