Cancel a booking and get a refund
Cancel courts, lessons and event places from the booking page until they start. The club, coach or event organiser sets the refund terms, and the page shows exactly what you would get back.
In breve
You can cancel a court, lesson or event booking yourself until it starts. How much you get back depends on the cancellation terms the club, coach or event organiser set, and the booking page shows the exact amount before you confirm.
How to cancel
1. Open Bookings and choose the booking. 2. In the Cancellation panel, choose Cancel booking (or Withdraw request if the club has not confirmed it yet). 3. Choose Cancel and refund to confirm.
Only the person who made the booking can cancel it. Once the start time has passed, it can no longer be cancelled here: contact the club.
How much you get back
Each club and coach sets their own terms, and your booking keeps the terms that applied when you booked, even if they change later. The terms are usually:
- a full refund until a set number of hours before the start, then - a part refund (or nothing) after that.
Some bookings have no refund at all. If the club or coach has not set terms, the default is a full refund 24 hours or more before the start and 50% after that.
The Cancellation panel tells you which applies, for example "Free to cancel until" a date and time, or the percentage you would get back now. After the start, there is no refund.
Where the refund goes
The refund goes back to what you paid with: your card, gift card or voucher. Card refunds usually take 5 to 10 working days to show, depending on your bank.
Prefer it straight away? Switch on Refund to my wallet instead, straight away before you confirm. The credit can be spent on your next booking. See your wallet.
If others paid a share of a split booking, each share is refunded to the person who paid it. If you paid with a lesson package and cancel inside the free window, the lesson goes back into the package.
When the club or coach cancels
If a club or coach cancels your booking, you get everything you paid online back in full, automatically, and we tell you by email and in the app. A lesson from a package goes back into the package.
Events and camps
Cancel an event, camp or course place the same way, from its booking page, until the event starts. The organiser's terms apply and are shown before you pay. If the organiser has not set any, you get a full refund 7 days or more before the event starts and 50% after that. Your places go back on sale straight away.
Something looks wrong
If a refund has not arrived after 10 working days, or the amount looks wrong, contact us with the booking reference.
