Too many wrong passwords

If someone types the wrong password for your account 8 times within 15 minutes, signing in with a password is paused for 15 minutes. This happens wherever the attempts come from, and we send you one email about it.

What you see

On the sign-in page you see Too many wrong passwords for this account, with how many minutes are left. We email you with the subject "Several wrong passwords for your Rally & Roam account".

What to do

- If it was you, wait until the time is up, or choose Reset my password in the email, or Forgotten it? on the sign-in page. See reset a forgotten password. - If it was not you, someone may know or be guessing your password. If your account has a second step at sign-in, they still cannot get in without it, but change your password anyway. Setting up an authenticator app makes it stronger.

Other limits

Sign-in pages also limit how many tries can come from one connection in a minute. If you see a message about too many requests, wait a minute and try again.

Account suspended

If you see This account is suspended. Contact support to restore it., the pause is not about passwords. Contact us and we will look into it.
