High over the net pair and deep, so it drops close to their back glass. Padel's most important defensive shot, and the way you win the net back.

When the other pair are at the net and you are at the back. After a low ball forces you to hit upwards anyway. To give yourself and your partner time to move up.
Comment le jouer
Open the racket face and lift through the ball from below. Aim high over the net player's reach and deep, near their back glass. Move forward with your partner as soon as it passes them.
Erreurs fréquentes
A short lob, which is a free smash. Lobbing too deep, so it bounces off their glass and sits up. Watching your lob instead of moving up to the net.

Le coup globo est-il autorisé au padel ?
Legal under Rule 14b: the lob only has to clear the net and bounce in their court. If it reaches their back glass or fence before bouncing, you lose the point under Rule 13g.
