Timed padel
Each match or round lasts a fixed time, often 10 to 20 minutes, and the score when time is up decides it.
Ce qui change par rapport à un match classique
The clock, not a target score, ends the match. Change of ends routines and breaks may be cut short or dropped, if announced. Draws can happen unless a deciding point is played.
Les règles
Every round starts and ends on the organiser's signal, for all courts together. Inside the round, play to the FIP rules with the announced scoring. When the signal goes, the organiser's rule applies: either the rally in play is finished, or the score stands at the signal. The pair ahead at the end wins the round. A level score is settled as announced: a draw, or one deciding point. Serving follows the announced pattern for the scoring method, so the serve changes as it would in that format.
Comment l'organiser
Decide the round length from your court time: for example, a 2-hour booking with 15-minute rounds and 2 minutes to change fits 7 rounds. Announce the scoring, the last-rally rule and the level-score rule. Start every court on one signal. End every court on one signal and collect scores at once. Give a short warning before the end if you can, so nobody is surprised.
