Swinging volley
A fuller swing on a high, slow ball taken in the air before it bounces, like a groundstroke without the bounce.
Cuándo jugarlo
On a slow, high ball in the middle of the court. When you can move in and take the ball early.
Cómo jugarlo
Prepare as for a drive, with a shorter backswing. Swing through the ball at shoulder height. Aim deep or at the feet.
Errores habituales
Swinging at a fast ball, which you will mistime. Hitting it into the back glass so it comes back high.

Legal under Rule 14.1a once the ball has crossed the net. You lose the point if you play it on your opponents' side before it crosses (Rule 13.1f) or touch the net or posts with your body or racket (Rule 13.1a).
