Backpedalling smash
A smash struck while moving back. A bandeja is usually the better choice.

Only when the lob is not deep enough to pass you and you can still reach it well.
Cómo jugarlo
Turn side on and move back with crossover steps. Point at the ball and hit with control. Recover forward.
Errores habituales
Running back facing the net, which loses balance. Going for power while moving backwards.

¿Es legal la backpedalling smash en el pádel?
Legal under Rule 14b as long as the ball bounces in their court before it touches their glass or mesh (Rule 13g). Touching the net or posts with your racket or body during the point loses it (Rule 13a).
