Change your email address

You can change the email address on your account in Settings, in the Email and password section. You need your current password.

Change it

1. Open Settings and choose Email and password. 2. Enter your new Email address. 3. Enter your Current password to confirm it is you. 4. Choose Save email.

We then send a link to the new address. Open it and choose Confirm this email. Only then does the new address take over. Until you do, you keep signing in with your current email, and Settings shows that the change is waiting. Choose Cancel the change there if you change your mind. The link works for 3 days.

We tell your old address

Once the new address takes over, we email your old address to say so, with an Undo this change link that works for 7 days. Undoing it puts the old address back, signs your account out everywhere and asks you to set a new password, in case someone else made the change.

Things to know

- You sign in with the new address once you have confirmed it. - Each email address can belong to only one account. If you see Another account uses that email, that address is already registered. If it is yours, sign in to that account instead, or reset its password. - Your sign-in codes, receipts and reset links go to the new address. - If you connected Google or Apple, that connection stays. See sign in with Google or Apple.

Typed it wrong when you joined?

If you have not confirmed your email yet, the change happens straight away and we send a new confirmation link to the right address. You can fix it in Settings or from the Check your email page. Choose Typed it wrong?, then Change your email address.

Joined with Google or Apple?

Changing your email needs a password. If you do not have one, set one first with Forgotten it? on the sign-in page.

Developer and advertiser accounts

Developer and advertiser accounts change their email the same way, on their Account page in the developer or advertiser centre.
