Sliced smash
A smash with slice that stays low after the bounce and comes off the back glass with little height, so the defender has to dig it out.
When to play it
On a lob you can attack but not finish. Against tall defenders who like a high ball.
How to play it
Contact a little in front and to the side, cutting across the ball. Aim deep, close to the back glass. Keep moving forward after the shot.
Common mistakes
Cutting too much, so the ball floats long. Confusing it with a bandeja and losing pace and position at once.

Legal under Rule 14b as long as the ball bounces in their court before it touches their glass or mesh (Rule 13g). Touching the net or posts with your racket or body during the point loses it (Rule 13a).
