Rulo
A topspin overhead that kicks high off their floor and back glass, usually played on a lob over your non-dominant shoulder and often aimed at the side fence (rulo a la reja). Names vary: some players use rulo for any topspin overhead.
When to play it
On a lob a little deeper than you would flat smash. Against defenders who wait close to the back glass.
How to play it
Brush up and over the ball for heavy topspin. Aim to bounce near their service line so it kicks into the glass. Close to the net after it in case the ball comes back.
Common mistakes
Too little spin, which leaves a comfortable ball off the glass. Using it on a lob you should play as a bandeja.

Questions
Is the rulo legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14b as long as the ball bounces in their court before it touches their glass or mesh (Rule 13g). Touching the net or posts with your racket or body during the point loses it (Rule 13a).
