Overhead drop shot
A soft overhead that drops just over the net while the opponents expect a smash and wait at the back.
When to play it
When both opponents have retreated to their back glass expecting a smash.
How to play it
Prepare exactly as for a smash. Slow the racket at the last moment and cut gently under the ball. Aim just over the net.

Using it when an opponent is near the net. Showing it in the preparation.

Is the overhead drop shot legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14b as long as the ball bounces in their court before it touches their glass or mesh (Rule 13g). Touching the net or posts with your racket or body during the point loses it (Rule 13a).
