Playing from outside the court
Running out through the side opening to play a ball that has bounced in your court and left it, then sending it back into their court, through the opening or over the wall.
When to play it
When their smash bounces and leaves through the opening or over the side wall. Only on courts and in competitions that allow outside play.
How to play it
Read the bounce early and run out through the nearest opening. Play the ball before it bounces a second time outside. Lob it back high over the wall or drive it through the opening into their court.
Common mistakes
Running out when the court or the competition does not allow it. Leaving it too late, so the ball bounces twice outside.

Questions
Is the salida de pista legal in padel?
Depends on the court and the event: Rule 16 allows it only where the court has the safety area the FIP sets out. Then a ball that leaves over the side wall or through the door stays live until it bounces again or touches something outside (Rule 13e), and your return from outside counts if it meets the usual tests (Rule 14j).
