Low volley
A volley played below net height, lifted carefully back over with an open face. The aim is to stay in the point, not to win it.
When to play it
When a chiquita or a drive dips at your feet. When you are caught at the service line.
How to play it
Bend your knees to get down to the ball. Open the face and lift it deep and soft. Move forward after the shot.
Common mistakes
Trying to hit a low volley hard. Bending from the waist instead of the knees.

Is the volea baja legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14.1a once the ball has crossed the net. You lose the point if you play it on your opponents' side before it crosses (Rule 13.1f) or touch the net or posts with your body or racket (Rule 13.1a).
