Kneeling return
A description of a moment, not a technique coaches teach: a player drops to one knee to reach a very low ball and still gets it back over the net.
When to play it
It happens on very low balls at the feet, when bending further is the only way to reach. Better players avoid it by bending the knees earlier and staying lower.
How to play it
If you end up on one knee, keep the racket face open and lift the ball. Aim high and central, since you cannot move quickly afterwards. Get up at once and tell your partner to cover.
Common mistakes
Trying to attack from your knees. Staying down to watch the ball.

Questions
Is the kneeling return legal in padel?
Legal: a knee on the floor is not a fault. Under Rule 14 the shot is judged only on where the ball goes.
