Kick smash
A full smash with heavy topspin so the ball jumps high off the floor and the back glass, pushing the defenders back or out of the court.
When to play it
On a lob you can reach comfortably but not finish flat. Against defenders who wait close to the back glass.
How to play it
Brush up and over the back of the ball. Aim to bounce near their service line. Close to the net in case it comes back.
Common mistakes
Too little spin, so it sits up off the glass. Hitting it from behind the service line, where it lands short.

Is the remate liftado legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14b as long as the ball bounces in their court before it touches their glass or mesh (Rule 13g). Touching the net or posts with your racket or body during the point loses it (Rule 13a).
