Back-glass contrapared
Hitting the ball backwards into your own back glass so it rebounds forward over the net. This is the classic contrapared, and a last resort when the ball has got behind you.
When to play it
When a ball has passed you and will bounce a second time near the back glass. When you cannot turn to play a normal wall exit or a lob.
How to play it
Face the back glass and hit upwards into it with an open face. Give the ball enough height and pace to carry back over the net. Turn and recover at once, because the return is rarely strong.
Common mistakes
Hitting the mesh instead of the glass: if the ball touches your own fence, you lose the point. Hitting too low, so the ball lands back on your own side.

Questions
Is the contrapared legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14 b: the ball may hit a wall of your own court first, as long as it then crosses the net and bounces in theirs. If it hits your own mesh fence or your own ground, you lose the point under Rule 13 l.
