Emergency contrapared
The rescue version of the contrapared: you hit the ball into your own back wall only to get it back over the net.
When to play it
When the ball has passed you and there is no other way to reach it. As a last resort.
How to play it
Turn and hit the ball firmly up into your own back glass. Aim high so it carries over the net. Recover as fast as you can.
Common mistakes
Playing it when you have time for a normal shot. Hitting too softly, so it does not reach the net.

Questions
Is the emergency contrapared legal in padel?
Legal under Rule 14b: the ball may hit your own wall and then bounce in their court. It loses the point if it touches your own mesh or floor after the hit (Rule 13l) or lands on their glass or mesh before bouncing (Rule 13g).
