Match tie-break to seven
An FIP alternative to the third set: at one set all, a single tie-break to seven points, won by two, decides the match.
Was sich gegenüber einem Standardmatch ändert
The third set is replaced by one tie-break to seven points. The tie-break is the end of the match, so there is no next set to serve.
Die Regeln
The first two sets are played as normal. At one set all, a tie-break replaces the third set. Points in a tie-break are called zero, 1, 2, 3 and so on. The player whose turn it is to serve serves only the first point, from the right side. The next two points are served by the other pair, starting from the left, keeping the set's serving order. After that each player serves two points in a row, in the same order, until the tie-break ends. Pairs change ends every six points, with no rest; the FIP rules allow 20 seconds for each change. The first pair to seven points with a lead of two wins the tie-break and the match.
So läuft es ab
Allow the normal 120-second set break before the tie-break. Make sure players agree who serves first; it follows the set's serving order. Record the match as, for example, 6 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 5 in the tie-break, following your results system.
