Mixed doubles
Each pair has one woman and one man. Everything is played as normal except the deciding point: on a golden point or star point the receiver must be the same sex as the server.
The pairs
One woman and one man per pair. Either partner can serve in turn, serving and receiving orders work as normal, and either can play any ball in a rally.
Deciding points
On a golden point or a star point, the player who receives must be the same sex as the server, and the receiving pair cannot swap places to change that.
In social formats
Mixed Americanos use rally points, so there is no deciding point unless the event plays games with golden point.
