What happens when you block someone

Blocking someone cuts most contact between you straight away. They are not told that you blocked them.

How to block

1. Open the player's profile on the website. 2. Choose the More button (three dots), then Block followed by their name. 3. Confirm with Block.

What changes

Once you block someone:

- Messages: neither of you can send new direct messages to the other. The conversation shows You cannot message this player. - Your profile: they can no longer open it. - Games: they cannot join games you host, and you cannot join theirs. - Partner matching: you are not suggested to each other, and you do not see each other's partner requests. - Follows: any follows between you, in either direction, are removed, and they cannot follow you again. - Videos: they cannot watch videos you have shared.

What they can still see

Blocking is not the same as being invisible. They may still see:

- open games, groups and events that are listed for everyone - messages and posts you write in a group you are both members of - reviews you have written, and leaderboards if you show your name on them - earlier direct messages that were already in the conversation

Blocking also does not remove them from a game they had already joined. If that worries you, leave or cancel the game, or contact us.

See who you have blocked

Open Settings, Blocked players to see everyone you have blocked and when.

Unblock someone

Choose Unblock next to their name in Settings, Blocked players, or open their profile and choose Unblock. Follows are not restored, so you would need to follow each other again.

Block and report

If someone has been abusive, threatening or fake, block them and also report them so our team can act. Blocking only protects you; a report lets us protect others too.
