We want everyone to be able to plan trips, book courts and play with Rally & Roam, whatever their ability or the technology they use. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we know still needs work and how to tell us about a problem.

How we build for accessibility

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice, that means:

every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link at the top;
pages work with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and TalkBack, with labelled buttons, form fields and images;
text and controls meet colour contrast standards in both the light and dark themes, and you can choose either theme or follow your device;
animations are reduced or switched off when your device asks for reduced motion;
you can zoom pages to 200% and use them on a phone without scrolling sideways;
the site is available in 13 languages, including right-to-left layout for Arabic.

How we test

Every change to the site is checked by automated accessibility tests (axe) against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, and the release is blocked if a serious problem is found. We also run Lighthouse accessibility checks on key pages.

What we know still needs work

Maps are visual. Every club, coach and place shown on a map is also listed in text on the same page.
Some photos and descriptions come from open data or from clubs and coaches, and may lack good descriptions.
Videos in our guides and podcast episodes do not all have captions or transcripts yet.
Some partner sites we link to, such as booking and payment pages run by others, are outside our control.

Tell us about a problem

If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

About this statement

We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at least once a year. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
