Switching sides when a lob goes over your partner
When a lob goes over your partner and they cannot reach it, a common pattern is for you to cross behind and take it, while your partner crosses to your side. You call switch so that both of you know.
Trin 1
Their lob goes over your partner's side at the net.
Trin 2
You call switch and run diagonally back to the ball. Your partner crosses over to cover your side.
Trin 3
You play the ball from the other side, and your partner is now on your old side.
Trin 4
Once the point is calmer, you swap back to your usual sides.
