Towards the fence
A ball that bounces in the opponents' court and runs into the side mesh, where the rebound dies or flies off at a strange angle.

Aim for a bounce near the side line, about level with their service line. Use slice or side spin so the ball runs into the mesh rather than the glass. Close to the net for a short or wild reply.
Typiske fejl
Hitting the mesh before the bounce, which loses the point. Landing too deep, so the ball reaches the side glass and comes out cleanly. Aiming at the mesh on a serve: a serve that bounces and then hits the fence is a fault.
