Aimed down the centre line, where it meets the service line, to cut the angle the receiver can use and set up a volley through the middle.

Aim along the centre line, deep in the box. Keep it low over the net. Your partner can cover the middle on the next ball.

Landing it over the centre line in the wrong box, or beyond the service line. A slow serve to the T that sits up for the receiver.
