Rotating players and Flex formats
When the number of players does not divide by four, some sit out each round in turn. Flex formats share the rests fairly and, if needed, rank by average points.
Hvad der ændrer sig i forhold til en standardkamp
Players do not all play every round. Standings may use averages instead of totals. The schedule has to plan the rests as well as the pairings.
Reglerne
Four players fill each court, and anyone left over rests for that round. Nobody rests twice before everyone has rested once. Over the event, the number of rests per player should differ by no more than one. Resting players score no rally points in that round. If everyone plays the same number of rounds, rank by total points. If not, rank by average points per match, or credit resting players with their own average for the round, as announced.
Sådan afvikler du det
Work out how many sit out each round: the number of players minus four times the number of courts. Plan enough rounds for everyone to rest the same number of times, where possible. Choose and announce how resting players are scored. Run the rounds as Americano, Mexicano or another format, rotating the rests. At the end, apply the announced method to the standings.

Spørgsmål
What happens with an odd number of players in an Americano?
Some players rest each round in turn, and standings may use average points.
What is bye compensation?
A setting in some apps that credits a resting player with their own average points, so sitting out does not cost them.
