The ball hitting a player
If their shot hits you or anything you wear before it bounces, you lose the point, wherever you stand. If your own shot comes back and touches you or your partner, you lose it too.
When the ball hits a player
If the other pair's shot touches you, your partner or anything you wear before it bounces, you lose the point, wherever you are standing, even outside the lines. If your own shot comes back and touches you or your partner, you lose it as well. If your shot hits one of them before it bounces, the point is yours.
Clothes and kit count
Your shirt, cap, hair and anything you are holding count as part of you. Something falling from you during a point, like a ball from your pocket, is treated as a hindrance: see lets and interference.
